Terms of use
Effective November 6, 2026
These terms cover the Mulingo app for iOS, including its subscriptions, features and content. Mulingo is run by Hmujo LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States ("we"). By using the app, you agree to these terms. They don't cover third-party services you use with it, such as the Apple App Store.
The app
Mulingo helps people learn English, and helps English speakers learn Thai, with vocabulary, sentences, games and songs, plus tools for teachers. It is a learning aid. We don't promise any particular result, grade or level. Spoken audio comes from your phone's speech system, and Thai readings are a guide to the sound, so neither is a perfect model of pronunciation. Tell us if you find a mistake.
Your account
You sign in with an email address and a one-time code. Keep access to that email safe, because anyone who can read it can sign in as you. Give accurate details, including your birthday. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
Children
A child may use Mulingo only with the agreement of a parent or guardian, and a parent or guardian should set up a young child's account. A parent or guardian who does this accepts these terms for the child and is responsible for the child's use, including purchases. Anyone who isn't an adult where they live needs the same agreement. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle children's data.
Teachers and schools
The teacher role is for adults aged 20 or older. If you use teacher tools, you are responsible for the student names and results you enter and for the words and sentences you add. You confirm that you are allowed to do this under your school's rules and local law, including any duty to tell parents or get their consent. Share class codes only with your class. Anyone who has a code can see that class's names.
License
Mulingo is licensed to you, not sold. Subject to these terms, Hmujo LLC grants you a personal, nontransferable license to use Mulingo on devices you own or control, as the App Store usage rules permit. You may not copy, distribute, sublicense, rent, lease, sell, modify, create derivative works from, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or try to extract the source code of Mulingo, except where the law says that restriction doesn't apply. The lessons, artwork, songs and the Mu character belong to us or our licensors.
Subscriptions
Part of Mulingo needs a paid subscription, sold through the App Store. The plans, prices, and billing period are shown in the app before you buy, and they can vary by region.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple Account may be charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before that.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the app or your Mulingo account doesn't cancel it.
- Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access until the paid period ends. It doesn't refund the period you are in, unless Apple's policy or the law says otherwise.
- Refund requests go to Apple, which handles all App Store payments.
Trials and offers
We may offer a free trial or an introductory price to eligible users. Its length, the price after it, and the renewal terms are shown before you buy. A trial or offer turns into a regular paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
Your data
What we collect and how to delete it is in our Privacy Policy. You keep your rights in anything you add to the app, such as your own teaching words. You let us store and show it as needed to run the features you use.
Third-party services
Mulingo works with third-party services, including the Apple App Store and RevenueCat, which tells the app whether your subscription is active. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, may not be available everywhere, and can change or stop.
Acceptable use
Don't use Mulingo for anything unlawful or anything that could harm someone else. Don't enter offensive names or content, enter another person's data without the right to, try to get into a class or account that isn't yours, disrupt our servers, or break the terms of a third-party service you use with the app.
Termination
Your license ends automatically if you break these terms. We may also suspend an account that harms the service or other users. When your license ends, stop using the app and delete it from your devices.
Disclaimer of warranties
Mulingo is provided "as is" and "as available", with all faults and without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory. To the fullest extent the law permits, Hmujo LLC disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, quiet enjoyment and non-infringement. We don't promise the app will be error-free, uninterrupted or secure.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law permits, Hmujo LLC and its developers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits or other damages arising from your use of the app or your inability to use it. Some places don't allow certain limits on liability, so parts of this may not apply to you.
Apple
These terms are between you and Hmujo LLC. Apple Inc. is not a party to them and is not responsible for the app or its content. Your use of the app must also follow the App Store usage rules, and Apple's standard end user license agreement sets the baseline for this license. Hmujo LLC provides any maintenance or support for Mulingo. Apple has no obligation to.
If the app fails to conform to a warranty that applies, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the fullest extent the law permits, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Mulingo. Any claim relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection or intellectual property infringement, is the responsibility of Hmujo LLC and not Apple. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
You may not use, export or re-export Mulingo except as authorized by United States law and the law of the place you got the app. You confirm you are not in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated by the US government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You also agree not to use Mulingo for any purpose US law prohibits. Where these terms conflict with Apple's usage rules, Apple's rules win.
US government users
Mulingo and its documentation are "Commercial Items" as defined at 48 C.F.R. 2.101, consisting of "Commercial Computer Software" and "Commercial Computer Software Documentation". US government end users get only the rights granted to everyone else under these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. This doesn't take away any consumer rights you have under the law of the country where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top when we do. Continuing to use the app after a new version is posted means you accept it.
